Les Rituels (2020)

In a small suburban town, a serial killer is on the loose, targeting only young women. One evening, in the locker room of a swimming pool, four friends share their anguish. Ambre, the fifth of the gang, watches them silently as they indulge in more intimate conversations. Each one tells her personal sexual story. The anecdotes follow one another, more or less tinged with violence, until Chloé bursts into tears and reveals her wound. Her partner tried to strangle her. On the way back, in the middle of the night, Ambre walks towards her home. She refused to be escorted by car and walks alone in the darkness, the light of her cell phone in her hand. Near a bridge, she falls on a small black rubber band and picks it up. As she passes the object on her wrist, she sees a whitish shape in the distance, lit by two men. Amber imagines the worst. At home, Amber joins her sleeping companion and climbs above him. She breathes him, embraces him, rubs herself against his body. He wakes up and kisses her, straightens up and penetrates her. There she sees the mark of the rubber band on the flesh of his wrist. Ambre leaves, joins her friends immersed in the pool and all together, their faces marked with sadness and rage, these women let themselves go in the water.
