Nová metoda malíre Smithe (1973)

A certain Mr. Smith comes to a small boarding house where two painters live. He pretends to be a painter who has a special method - he paints at night. His object of interest is a nearby aristocratic mansion. From a servant he asks where the estate has kept its jewels. At night, he sets out with his accomplice on a robbery, but is ambushed by other robbers and wounded. The master and mistress of the house take him in, believing that he has protected them from the robbers. They even show off their jewels to him.
