Kaalapatthar (2024)

The emplacement of a statue leads to the exculpation of village problems. A contemporary gritty fantasy drama with the dark, rural underbelly exposing the power, and corruption keeping the village down. The film follows the protagonist, Shankar, who serves in the Indian Army. In his hometown of Mudalpur, a statue is erected, leading to a series of confusion and problems for the townspeople. Shankar returns to the town, facing the dilemma of whether to safeguard the idol or quell the unrest among the people.
