Finding the Guru (2010)

FINDING THE GURU is a Docu-Drama based on the classic spiritual book Autobiography of a Yogi written by Paramhansa Yogananda. It focuses on the quest, zeal and determination of Yogananda in finding his guru. Yogananda was the first one to spread Kriya Yoga in to the west. This docudrama has been widely appreciated by the followers of Babaji across the world. The Docu part showcases the real locations, mentioned in the book, of Babaji's cave (where he initiated Lahiri Mahasaya into Kriya Yoga), the actual houses of Lahiri Mahasaya and Paramhansa Yogananda. These locations themselves are like a pilgrimage for Babaji's followers. The drama part is a direct enactment of the first parts of the book, up to the point where Yogananda finds his guru Yukteshwar Giri and begins his journey.
