Riverbanks (2015)

Yannis, a young soldier serving as a minesweeper in remote, meandering Evros River, Greece, is rumoured to have the eerie and inexplicable ability to detect and disarm the explosive landmines. In the meantime, Chrysa, a desperate mother of one, facilitates safe passage for illegal immigrants at night, having no other way to make a living and provide for her family. Chrysa is guilty, and she knows it. However, when Yannis crosses paths with Chrysa, the unforeseen complications of desire will reveal a different reality. Can love change everything?
