He had been a name with a large number of fan followers amongst rural population and urban elite. His alluring voice and rhythm of khamak kept the audience enthralled for a long time. Gour had exposure and close interactions with urban musicians of various countries with clear cut opinion about traditional folk versus westernized urban music. He made acquaintances with famous singers and worked with Jerzy Grotowski. But it was not only his music but also his eloquence that created the enigmatic charm to mesmerize people and made him unique. He enjoyed baffling people with his comments on social situations and life in general, speaking about true and false, natural and artificial, good and bad, purity and pollution. The film, shot over a decade captures Khepa who belonged to a different kind of reality.
