Taste of Body (2012)

This is the very first Chinese documentary on modern dance. "Taste of Body" closely explores the exchange process between the top-tier American choreographer Tere O'Connor and the young dancers of the Beijing Modern Dance Company on the idea of Improvisational Creation and the rehearsal of Offerings choreographed by the well known Chinese modern dance choreographer Gao Yanjinzi. The film deeply observes the differences and similarities between the creative approaches of the American and the Chinese choreographers and displays the conflicts and merges of the Chinese and Western cultures and the contemporary Chinese people's spiritual relationship with the modern dance.
