The Seagull (2018)

Set in Russia in the late 19th century, the story follows veteran actress Irina Arkadina, who spends the summer at the astonishing estate of Sorin, her ailing brother. During her stay she shares her days with her lover, the writer Boris Trigorin, her son Konstantin, and the actress Nina Zarechnaya. A series of love misunderstandings cause suffering for them and others involved. An impressive romantic drama based on the play by Anton Chekhov, with great character development and fascinating performances.
