The Beguiled (2017)

Set during the American Civil War, the peacefulness of an all-girls' school in Virginia is disturbed when soldier John McBurney arrives wounded and seeking refuge. He is warmly received by the teachers and students, but soon sexual tensions become obvious and rivalries emerge. A riveting thriller directed by Sofia Coppola with gorgeous visuals, terrific production design, a remarkable cast and a compelling insight into the emotional and intimate drives of the characters.
