Three men on their way south, each in his own way, meet up along the ancient Appian Way, which stretches between Rome and Brindisi. Antonio Pascale has unexpectedly decided to take a train and finds himself lost in the countryside. Giacomo De Stefano is taking a boat down the river and is battling the low levels of rivers in the South, while Bruno Ostuni and his four children are riding on horseback through the most remote areas of southern Italy. When the three men meet up, not just physically but also ideally, they come into contact with authentic nature.
