When Benny Boon, a hapless con man having a midlife crisis, finds himself deep in debt to a dangerous gangster, he poses as a movie producer to dupe Kitty Kincaid, a once-promising star, into "financing a film." As Benny gets deeper into his producer role, he sees a chance to rewrite his life's script.
