The Jayson Williams Story

THE JAYSON WILLIAMS STORY is a hard hitting feature documentary that tells the story of Jayson Williams, a former NBA All-Star that suffered a career ending injury and turned to alcohol. Jayson hit his low point after being tried on manslaughter charges in 2002. Today, he is a recovering alcoholic enrolled in the Epiphany Treatment Center in Florida where he continues his daily battle with his addiction. While at Epiphany, Jayson will re-visit his past through a newfound process called Narrative Therapy where he will script his story and create a short film about his life. We will employ his real time catharsis and the creation of his short film as an interstitial, allowing us to delve into the past to document his early years, the controversial murder and where he is today.
