Offspring (2016)

Samuel hooks up an I.V. to Eleanor, a woman that is on the verge of dying. Her right shoulder is very bloody and her neck shows a fresh wound. Suddenly, Eleanor wakes up, completely confused about everything. She's nervous and doesn't seem to recognize Samuel, who is beyond happy of her awakening. She tries to leave her bed but her body is too weak. After a small struggle, Eleanor vomits a lot of blood. Samuel gets nervous and leaves the room to get some towels. Taking advantage of his disappearance, Eleanor moves to another room. When Samuel returns, he finds a pool of blood and hears some strange sounds on the roof. He talks with Eleanor about how they came to this point, until Eleanor scratches his face and tries to open the window from the roof. Before she can, however, Samuel tackles her and gets violent. She remains on the floor, as frail as before. Samuel tries to take a picture of her, but when he sees nothing is wrong with it, he loses hope. Eleanor convinces him he's sick and has a perverse sense of love that will ultimately leave him broken and alone. Samuel stops fighting her and agrees, thus looking at the roof: It's time to meet the sun. Samuel burns and becomes ash as Eleanor remains on the ground, unable to move, giving her last breaths.
