Interrumpere (2016)

"Interrumpere is a contemporary ballet that portrays an interrupted energy in human relationships. Our life is full of interruptions and complications, yet we make connections through these interruptions. While choreographing this piece, I often questioned myself: How can I illustrate an interrupted energy that can eventually build a connection at the end? Through abstract gestures and movements while encompassing an equal amount of physicality and athleticism from both male and female dancers, I present my choreographic intention that signifies a message; without being interrupted, we can never be connected" (Jae Young Lee, Choreographer).
