14 year-old Ingrid hangs out in net forums behind the alias "Night Child". When coming across her school's photographer, they connect through their love for Iron Maiden. They secretly get involved in a relationship online. One night, when Ingrid's mum is off seeing her boyfriend, Ingrid arranges a date with the photographer. Night child deals with identity, sexuality, the existence of an age dependent twilight zone, and hunger for independence.
