Apricot (2017)

Apricot - A Short Film A dark comedy where wisdom meets youthful ingenuity in a battle of wits and (breakfast) loops. 10-year old Margaret Mary has a problem. A denture-less, dribbling problem to be exact. Will her efforts to get rid of her elderly grandmother pay off? Or will she be forced to share her house (and her parents) forever? Apricot is a dark comedy that explores the fraying relationship between Margaret Mary and her elderly grandmother. On the one level, the short film is a simple interaction at the breakfast table where young and old attempt to stake their claim as valued members of the Boulous family. On a deeper level, Apricot gives insight into the sacrifices that often need to be made in order to care for the ones we love.
