A man is forced to eat a bag of pure heroin. This scene may disturb some viewers as he is shown to be in alot of pain and it is suggested that he dies painfully, although this is not shown. (However this scene is usually cut on some TV broadcasts of the film usually on Channel 5 in the UK when it was shown at 7pm)
A man threatens to shoot other men he is training unless they work harder, but this is done in a comical way.
Some men are gassed in their sleep.
There are several battle scenes that show some blood and a lot of death. Two shots in particular might be considered disturbing, though both are fairly brief. In one, a Simba (enemy) soldier is machine-gunned, leaving a string of bloody, spurting entry wounds. In another, a man's throat is slit (shown in closeup).
Some characters are shown to be in pain and dying, but their wounds are never very graphic.
A man is shot in cold blood, but it is not done without reason.
