Fuego eterno (1985)

In times of the Spanish inquisition, Gabrielle, a newlywed, is sentenced to life charged with witchcraft and the murder of her husband, Pierre de Irigaray, who died a few hours after their wedding, although this was only found seven years later. Almost thirty years after these events, a priest comes to town to learn the story and report his investigation on the proper (or not) trial carried against Gabrielle, and in that quest he will unveil some truth that will, for him, become an existential revelation.
