Cape Fear (1991)

A psychopath, Max Cady, is released from prison after 14 years and hungry for revenge against his former lawyer, Sam Bowden, whom he sees as responsible for his conviction. Max stalks Sam, including his wife Leigh and their 15-year-old daughter, Danielle. His obsession and threatening presence generates terror in the family and they are forced to escape. This psychological thriller directed by Martin Scorsese, a remake of a 1962 film, offers notable performances from its cast, including Robert De Niro and Juliette Lewis nominated for Oscars for their roles.
