Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998)

A transposition of Cinderella set in the Middle Ages that incorporates greater nuance to its characters, starring a charismatic Drew Barrymore. After the surprise death of her beloved father, Danielle is treated as a personal servant by her stepmother and one of her stepsisters.
