Die Nibelungen: Siegfried (1924)

Siegfried, Prince of Xanten, sets off to win the hand of Kriemhild, Princess of Burgundy. In his travels to meet the princess, he encounters a dragon, whose blood is said to make you immortal; fights Alberich, King of the Dwarves, to acquire his legendary treasure of magic items; helps King Gunther win Queen Brunhild of Iceland through trickery. But the consequences of his feats come to haunt him, setting the stage for dramatic and tragic events.
