Wisecracking, attractive public stenographer Ann McNair spends much of her time fending off the restless hands of her employers, but handsome James "Jimmy" Martin Jr. learns to play it cool if he's going to play for keeps. But is he playing for keeps? As Ann at long last drops her hard-boiled veneer, she gets more involved with Jimmy and with a scam that could lead to ruin.
