Burdened by the untimely demise of the king, sad Queen Natasha is contemplating death. In the meantime, she is utterly unaware of her court's sinister machinations. When Stanislas, a suicidal anarchist poet bearing an uncanny resemblance to the late monarch, invades the royal boudoir with murder on his mind, they both fall madly in love.
