When Destiny Demands (1964)

Devastated, Anna summons up every last ounce of strength to give up her only daughter, Illyana, to adoption, after receiving news of her husband's death in a shipwreck. Unable to provide for her infant, she enlists the help of a neighbour, who in turn, leaves the baby on the doorstep of a wealthy family, only to end up in an orphanage. There, a compassionate man, Apostolos, becomes responsible for Illyana's upbringing, posing as her father. Will Illyana ever find out the truth about her mother's decision? Is she entitled to happiness when destiny commands?
