Holed up in the ancestral mansion, Stefanos, a brilliant twenty-five-year-old pianist, lives and breathes music. Yearning to see her son become a successful piano soloist, Zoe, Stefanos' overbearing mother and failed pianist, is gradually pushing him over the brink, forcing him to create a pathological split personality. As a result, reclusive Stefanos finds solace in his sensual world of fantasy, thirsting for what his authoritarian mother deprives him of, including love. When Christina, a bright-eyed, up-and-coming actress, appears in their villa to shoot some scenes for her latest film, inevitably, she upsets them.
