For Her Love (1930)

In 1917, somewhere in a small village during WWI, Petros, the handsome son of the community's most prominent member, and the honest orphaned girl, Chrysa, fall in love. However, the duplicitous and unscrupulous loan-shark, Nikolas, too, has set his sights on conquering fair Chrysa's heart, bent on marrying her. Before long, a call to arms sends the village's men to the front, and Nikolas, who is still mad about Chrysa, concocts a dishonest scheme to get Petros out of the way. How far is Petros willing to go for Chrysa's love?
