The Unvanquished (1971)

After a two-year stint in jail for fraud, Georgia, a childless Romani woman, embarks on a fevered mission to hit incorruptible prosecutor Pavlos Keltis where it hurts: abduct his little girl for putting her behind bars. And as the vicious con artist robs the honourable man of his happiness, heartless Georgia puts her evil plan in motion to make a quick buck. The months turn into years, and Keltis' oblivious daughter becomes enchanting Rosa, a young woman singing in nightclubs to support Georgia. And then, the only person who stood by Rosa, fervent admirer Saradis, ends up dead in an alley. As Rosa shares the same fate as her "mother", facing life imprisonment, brilliant trainee solicitor Kostas Ballis undertakes a nearly impossible task. Can the promising lawyer clear Rosa's name and save her from prejudice and a fate worse than death?
