Benjámin karrierje (1912)

We first make our hero's acquaintance as he bids farewell to his old father and mother, preparatory to seeking his fortune in the great city. While reading in a field, he observes a runaway horse, and is fortunate in saving the rider, a charming young lady, who moreover, is the daughter of an exceedingly rich man., The father is extremely grateful, and though Benjamin's table manners are not those of polite society, he insists on giving him some practical expression of his gratitude. Benjamin refuses a gift but, as his I.O.U., receives a check - for 22,000, with the advice to get some new clothes, and have a bath. Benjamin follows this wise advice, and encounters many amusing adventures.
