The Desert Secret (1924)

Two prospectors finally hit "paydirt", and while celebrating one of them gets drunk and tells some people where the strike is located. The next thing they know their claim is swarming with people claiming to have filed ownership on it. Depressed and believing that he has been cheated out of what is rightfully his, the other prospector takes off for parts unknown. When he returns, however, he is surprised to find out what has happened to the strike.
