Post-WWII Greece. After surviving the horrors of war, Christos, an amnesiac freedom fighter, ends up in a Red Cross hospital. Having no recollection of his brother's betrayal during the German Occupation of Athens, where innocent patriots perished, the grizzled patient has a pivotal encounter with two mysterious figures: his physician and Katerina, a sad-eyed stranger.
