The story of Amy Johnson, pioneering 1930s Yorkshire airwoman who captured the imagination of the world with her long distance flights to Australia, Japan and South Africa, and who died mysteriously on a routine ferry flight in stormy weather in January 1941 when delivering an RAF Oxford trainer (not a Wellington as stated on here) from Blackpool to Kidlington.
