As Adolf Hitler's formidable war machine sweeps Europe from end to end, somewhere in a battle-scarred village of the Greek countryside, the impoverished inhabitants struggle to survive under the Nazis' thumb. To aid the war effort and contribute to the local Resistance Movement against the invaders, brave Argiro has secretly joined a small team of patriots, working as a secretary and interpreter at the regional Gestapo: the official secret police of Nazi Germany and German-occupied Europe. However, only a handful of trustful people know that Argiro is dicing with death every day to provide vital information about the enemy's plans, and to do so, she has an affair with her boss, Commander Fritz von Türlen. Now, Argiro is the talk of the town, as everyone believes that she is a shameless collaborator and a despicable traitor. Will they ever discover Argiro's sacrifice?
