Nanga Parbat 1953 (1953)

Semi documentary about the 1953 Nanga Parbat expedition organized and managed by Karl Maria Herrligkoffer and the first ascent by Hermann Buhl filmed by Hans Ertl. The film shows the preparation, the travel through a vast landscape and the ascent under tremendous conditions but also shows a lot of pathos in regard to the narration and the outspoken nationalism.
