The Lead Brigade (1980)

"Lead Brigade" ("Olovna brigada") follows the daily life of the workers in a mine, during the period of the workers' self-management in former Yugoslavia. The film offers a dramatic cross-section between the social conditions of the time and the main character, engineer Lazar's personal drama. Lazar's inner turmoil intertwines with the appearance of a unique professional challenge - the discovery of a rare mineral in the ore.
