Ashiana (1952)

Ashiana (The Nest) Directed by Shama Habibullah, a 23 minute documentary that tells a narrative story with beautiful images of village life and the people connected to it. The story centers around the life of a house in northern India (Lucknow), and on a family who was once the center of the village but is now on the edge of it. It is about the end of feudalism and the beginning of democracy.
