The Poor Devils (1964)

Frixos and Gavriil--best friends, wretched layabouts, and partners in crime--while away the time trying to figure out how to escape poverty. In the meantime, the petty criminals rinse unsuspecting Athenians and tourists alike for every penny. However, when their thief companion, Christoforos, talks them into taking part in a seemingly simple bank heist devised by an American criminal mastermind in Athens, Gavriil and Frixos will find themselves neck-deep in trouble. Now, the local priest and the inquisitive Detective Bartsakopoulos are onto them, determined to make them see the error of their ways. Will the poor devils escape jail and strike it rich?
