Poverty Wants to Have a Good Time (1958)

Sometimes, even love isn't enough to save a relationship. With this in mind, two roommates and talented but unrecognised female singers decide to give their kind-hearted boyfriends and permanent layabouts, Nikos and Yannis, a pressing ultimatum. As a result, the impecunious boys have only a few hours to come up with cash to escort their dames to an Athenian song contest. Now, Yannis and Nikos have the perfect opportunity to prove their worth; however, as the team joins forces with their equally penniless friend, Agop, trying their luck with money-making schemes, it becomes evident that earning a living is easier said than done. Will things work out for the stony-broke Casanovas?
