A Bride from the North (1975)

Artak meets Valya during his service for the Soviet Army in the Russian countryside. But Valya's mother refuses to let her only daughter go to "these far highlands, where earthquakes happen all the time". So Artak is forced to ask his contrasting and numerous relatives - Armenian villagers - to visit a remote Russian village for bringing a bride to Armenia.
