Stenata (1984)

Chichov-a man with many years of experience - is the head of the construction of a huge dam. To meet the deadlines, he violates financial discipline without any benefit to himself. His opponent is engineer Marinov-a young specialist, economic director of construction. He believes in scientific organization of work, strict discipline, and financial order. Between them there are strong psychological shocks. Marinov strictly follows the law and comes into conflict with the interests of employees. He turns Chichov over to the investigating authorities in the hope of putting an end to the compromises.
