The Roman Empire at its height had cities of such architectural sophistication that was unmatched by anything of its time. Host David Macaulay guides us through the modern remains of such cities to illustrate its various components and the intricate craftsmanship that made it possible. In addition, we also follow the story of such city in Gaul in the reign of Caesar Augustus built by its humble architect, Marcus Fabricius.
