Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009)

Based on an incredible true story and remake of the japanese film Hachikō Monogatari (1987), the film focuses on Professor Parker Wilson, who comes across an akita puppy and immediately decides to adopt it in his home. At first, his wife Cate makes him swear that Hachi won't stay with them, but since no one claims him, she eventually accepts the dog. An emotional and heartwarming drama, starring Richard Gere, about the bond of friendship and loyalty between a human and an animal.
