The Book of Eli (2010)

Eli is a wandering, solitary traveler on a mission to protect and deliver a sacred book that holds the key to restoring the future of what is left of humanity, as the story takes place in a post-apocalyptic future. Along his journey he encounters Carnegie, a power-hungry man who seeks to obtain the book Eli carries for his own sinister purposes. Directed by the Hughes brothers, it is a thrilling story that develops amid intense action sequences and a style that is reminiscent of "Mad Max", as well as some reflective moments and an unexpected twist.
