Afraid to Merge (2008)

Afraid to Merge is the first film in a thematic trilogy about disconnection. Preston, a recent graduate, comes home to find that his mother has left and his father is sleeping with a twenty-something year-old, Tony. Preston tries to reconnect with his father, while befriending his father's lover. After a tragedy in the family, Preston begins his own investigation sends him on a downward spiral that only leads back to the truth behind the tragedy.
