Film Ist. A Girl & a Gun (2009)

Guided by quotes from, among others, Plato and Sappho and a soundtrack, fragments of a great number of (mostly) silent films are shown. These fragments range from the 1890's to the 1940's. There are fragments of soldiers posing with bombs, people swimming, nature, girls with guns, people having sex, two colleagues discussing marriage and much more.
