The Parchene Conspiracy (2009)

A species of intelligent birds known as Parchene, originally from Earth, who were expelled from Earth millions of years ago, now want to regain control of the planet for their breeding male. Instead, another species, the Krellus, have been given the Core Charter of Ownership for the planet in order to guide Earth into the galactic community. A news reporter is pulled into this alien conflict by someone she calls "the secret insider" after the murder of 11 human negotiators. The reporter encourages a courtroom trial to solve the murders and bring out the truth. The truth ultimately uncovers facts that could bring disaster to the planet.
