In 1896, Virgina Bolten, a well-known thirty-year-old anarchist, arrives in Buenos Aires, where she works in a spinning mill, under painful conditions of the time. She and a group of women publish a newspaper that denounces the double exploitation to which the woman of the nineteenth century is subjected: because of her class status and gender. They decide to call it "The woman's voice".
