Shadows of the Green Line takes place on the North East coast of Brazil. 17 year old native Rocky, finds his fisherman's village transformed into a touristic city where his native roots and culture are slipping away. Rocky re-connects with Enya, the boss's daughter who was studying abroad, which becomes the motive for his eviction from the only life he knows. Without options, Rocky is forced to live with his grandfather in the middle of the jungle far from home. Guided by his wise and experienced grandfather, Rocky will learn about his Afro-Brazilian roots, how to survive off of the land, live without the use of electricity and running water, and how to find true happiness in the simplicity of his new life.
