Part of the Saharawi people, which the King of Marocco wants to force to recognize him as their legitimate ruler, still live in areas occupied by the Moroccan army. The director has chosen to give a picture of the women in the camps near Tindouf (Algeria) in their daily life and on festival days. Today, these women are in a paradoxical condition. The fundamental changes which exile has forced on the Saharawi society has given them back an essential role in that community. They organize their campsite, its economy, its food supply, and their survival.
