What is Burning Man? 50,000 extraordinary individuals decide to make a yearly pilgrimage to the middle of nowhere - the desert of Nevada, and celebrate life, art, and blowing stuff up. What would you do for a week if there was no television, cell phone reception, or indoor plumbing? BE PRESENT is what. And figure out what you have to offer someone else to ENTERTAIN them. Because we are all here to be entertained. Pack it in - pack it out - leave no trace and bring EVERYTHING you need to survive for a week because the nearest grocery store is 2 hours away. Camp? It's not a row of tents. It's spending thousands of dollars for the most mindblowing experience of your life. Group sex drugs and rock and roll? Sure. For the newbie. Others use the week for spiritual enlightenment, communing with nature, and reconnecting with Source. Whatever happens, Burning Man 2011 was a Rite of Passage for those of us lucky enough to participate.
