The United States of America is the only industrial democracy that does not provide health care for everyone. In "U.S. Health Care: The Good News," a one-hour documentary for PBS, correspondent T.R. Reid travels the country and discovers communities that provide excellent health care at reasonable cost, and in one case, for nearly everyone in town. We made the film to show Americans that if every community adopts one or more of the strategies shown in the film, putting patient outcomes ahead of profits and working to control costs, this nation can afford to provide high-quality health care for everyone.
